I live in Wisconsin. Yeah, it gets fkin cold here but you can adjust. You can camp out in your house for months or "embrace the suck. We have ALL the water!!! I have spent several years in the hell hole known as Phoenix,Az. When people would tell me that it is a dry heat, i would simply reply-so is an oven. Dry heat not as horrible as the humidity wich you can't breath or be cooled,so yes dry heat is better then a high humid state.
We had lots of water until they built like 10 damns and gave half our water to California. The dry heat makes people angry drivers. Driving is like a retrace to the next watering hole. The dry cold here is different from more humid places. It bites you to the bone. I loooove the summers in Phoenix!!

As a native Arizonian, we never call it a "dry heat": That is what outsiders assume we call it when explaining it to them. We know the blazing heat sucks and is unbearable. All we do instead is like to pretend that the winters make it worth it. Oh yeah, cool, pine forests are only a couple hours away as well. When I lived in Tucson, it never got below for an entire month once. When the wind blew it sapped your strength. It felt like someone opened the oven door. But it's a beautiful place otherwise.
