The Goosemoor and River Clyst Bridge section is proving very popular since its formal opening on 26th November See installation video here Through liaison with the RSPB, a set of wooden panels showing silhouettes will shortly be installed at each of the Viewing Areas. In work will start to provide Bridge Road with two lanes both towards and away from Countess Wear roundabout. The existing shared use path over the listed bridge over the Exe is being removed to give space for the additional lanes.

If you'd like a cover then have a snack at Bill's in Gandy Street - or if you'd like to order 1, or more go to OnYourBikeSeat's web site. A new group are campaigning for a safe route between Crediton and Exeter - the main A road being particularly dangerous for cyclists. More information can be obtained from the Sustainable Crediton web site or direct frrom Laura Conyngham tel A number of villagers in Lympstone have been campaigning for a new route through the village. The Exe Estuary Trail has generally been a great success.
However, concerns about the safety of the on-road route through Lympstone have grown over recent years. Residents of the Village support the Trail as a whole but believe it was a serious design error to use the roads through the Village as the primary, and only, route rather than continue along the railway line with clear access points to the Village giving people a choice of routes.
The Village roads are narrow with steep hills and blind bends, and there have been a considerable number of accidents and near misses.
The development of an additional off-road route would reduce the risk of accidents, benefit commuter cyclists and others who would prefer a more direct and safer route, and reduce the negative impact on the Lympstone community and conservation area.
A petition has been submitted to Devon County Council with view to establishing an additional route. For more information contact Sara at sarabragg aol. Both km and km routes are available.
