ComiCONN is an annual convention focusing primarily on comic books and their creators, along with pop culture memorabilia, gaming, science fictionfantasy and action films, television programs and cosplay. Started in the convention is held in the South Western part of Connecticut near the New York border. InComiCONN expanded to a three-day event and larger venue with more than tables of dealers of comics, toys, collectibles and creator guests making it the largest con within miles of the annual New York Comic Con.
It the first comic book focused event of its size in the state in over 15 years. The show was a first for having panels that focused on the history of Connecticut and the comic book publishing history, in particular the role Charlton Comics played in discovering so many talented creators.
