This paper airplane launcher was paper airplane launcher nxt robot from Lego NXT components. The plane flies between 25 and 35 feet. I had to compound the gears to obtain enough RPMs on the wheels to effectively launch the aircraft.
The launcher also has a negative launch angle which may surprise some of you. This was done to account for the initial lift the wings supply at the time of launch. A level or positive launch angle would cause the plane to stall only a few feet after launch. This project was a lot of fun to build and even more fun to play with. Here is a link to a site with excellent instructions for the plane i used www. If you do on NXT, can you share the programming guidance?
Thank you very much. Can any body tell me where is a program. Tank you very much to publish this great idea!!! Can you put another link to the instructions? It doesn't work Thamks: Can you please share the building instructions again as the link seems not to paper airplane launcher nxt robot working. Looks like a great project that I would like to try with grade 6 students. Paper airplane launcher nxt robot does the plane move towards the wheels?
The draft created by the wheels pulls it? This is running somewhere about the actual motor speed; the NXT servo motors have a builtin gear reduction. Even the EV3 Minimotors have a planetary, which is disappointing; I wanted to use it for flywheels and other fast things like this As opposed to paper airplane launcher nxt robot a motor with direct output, this is less efficient as it loses lots of power in the gearing down and then back up.
Just sell it to the French navy dude! It will add a great deal of firepower to their aircraft carrier! You paper airplane launcher nxt robot, are the first person that I have ever seen that is kind about judge mental comments, I applaud you! Making faster rotating motion is easy with lego - connect a big gear to the motor directly then make that rotate a smaller gear or chain of gears if you don't mind losing torc in the process.
Also you can do the opposite - increase the torc how powerful the rotary motion is by swapping those gears round this will lower the RPM though. Btw I know I have spelt torc wrong I can't find the accurate spelling. Our is geared up so the wheels spin several times the motor speed. Our innovation was to multiply the rotational speed using only Lego Mindstorm NXT parts and to utilize the vibration of the launcher to automatically feed the airplane into the wheels for take off.
Thanks for your input. Nice work anyways though. Lego paper plane folding machine V2. Shift - Frige Videoclip Oficial.
